Don’t Try to ‘Find Yourself’ Until You Know How to Work
Isaac Morehouse

Great piece and too seldom said.

My wife and I waited a while before taking off, because we felt we didn’t work enough for the experience to be valuable. Now we have much to reflect to.

I would only add: read, read and read. Don’t sit around too long as if you’re on vacation. Self introspection is a great tool, but reading helps bring another’s point of view, especially if the topic and writer are thorough thinkers with something valuable to say. Unfortunately there are too many shallow self-help books.
