Why Do You Read?

I read because I live. Reading gives me new ideas, new thoughts, challenges my way of thinking and being in the world. Reading opens me to new ideas and new information and ways of using that information for the betterment of myself, people I care about and the world. On a lighter note, I also read because TV is just so mundane and God awful and feels like a waste of time. I read because I’m in seminary and we read our way through classes. I listen to audiobooks while I drive in order to learn while I drive so it is not wasted time. In short, I read because I can and reading is like oxygen to me — it gives me life. #IReadBecause Litographs
