Seth, awesome article! Thank you so much. I’ve been thinking about how education needs to change. You had me hooked when you talked about the idea of education being a job to train people to be worker bees.

I find your ideas fascinating and I see so many possibilities. My industry, if you want to call it that, is religion. I can see the ideas you use for altMBA also working for churches. This is an area I have been thinking about for a few years now. I even spent time in a foreign country to learn about the role of church in that society - what worked and what didn’t and why. How the church makes disciples is vital to fulfilling its mission. And given the decline in many churches, I think we need to be honest with ourselves and say we’re doing something wrong and we need to examine what we believe about church - is it a membership or something else. I believe it is something else - a community people enroll in, not an institution people feel compelled to be a part of. You’ve inspired me to explore this further. Thank you.
