Hi Fred Shirley — yes, things did turn out well in the end. I found out later that one of their players was suspended by that club for what he did. They took a no tolerance approach to what was said which I found really encouraging.

I tend to open or bat in the top four these days. Having started my life as a bowler I don’t get much opportunity to ply that trade any more. It is very much needs must when it comes to my club. There is a distinct lack of batters!

It was our end of season celebration last night and it was a brilliant night. The fierce loyalty of some of my teammates had me on the verge of tears last night! I already feel more optimistic about next season, even if it is many, any months away!
