#WIT Learning Program

First time I came to know about swechha jha was through WIT. I came across one of the interviews done by Archana in her #connect activity Cohort 1 days. I had seen her interview and was impressed by the way she used social media platforms like Facebook to grab her opportunities. So when I got an opportunity to choose her as my guide, I grabbed it. I mailed her requesting to guide me for which she readily accepted. Thank you so much Swechha and Rethink.

To say about Swechha, she is currently doing her internship at Bosch. She is a Learn IT, Girl scholar, WeTech Global Scholar Qualcomm and GHCI Scholar. She has also been a python mentor and most importantly, she is super amazing to talk to.

She read from my Shitty First Draft(SFD) that, I am interested in pursuing my career in Machine Learning. She told me how to get started of, as i was unaware of what to do. She shared with me the resources and gave me an idea on how to use them, the projects that I should get started of with. She asked me to start solving problems on Kaggle and gave me a detailed insight on how to keep moving, of which I was totally unaware. She asked me to go through the Kernels so as to understand how to approach a problem. “Kernel shows you all publicly shared code on the competition”.

Key takeaways:

  1. Time Management. Doing at least 2 coding questions a day can make wonders.
  2. Stay on top of all social media to get the latest updates on all opportunities.
  3. Code challenges on websites like HackerEarth, HackerRank, geeksforgeeks are great to practice problem solving questions.
  4. Use Kaggle most effectively.

I thank Swechha from the bottom of my heart for accepting my request and giving me what i really want. That 1 hour is something that I couldn't even think of. It was full of thoughts and enough motivation to keep me going, work harder and that everything is possible and not as difficult as you think.

I thank Rethink for helping us getting equipped to figure it out ourselves with this wonderful #connect activity.
