KB was a bisexual black woman who both accepted and sequestered her attraction to women, married a man, and worked at a Christian summer camp. She was the first adult who I told that I was gay and the only reason I came out to my parents. I regularly question whether that camp would have let her story be told if they knew that it would help me embrace my sexuality. Was I the desired outcome or just an unintended result? I will never know.
