1st Week at Lafayette Plug and Play!
Last Monday we had the chance to welcome 14 startups for our June 17 Batch.
14 startups joined us from 5 countries (🇫🇷, 🇮🇳, 🇬🇧, 🇩🇰, 🇨🇳) on robotics, in-store analytics, HR issues, big data, anti-couterfeit solutions, social medias analytics, e-commerce recommandation….etc..
We had a pretty busy 1st week.
Let me explain; Lafayette Plug and Play acceleration program is really focus on 4 aspects:
- Business Development Opportunity: we invite C-level people from corporations to work with startups, sign POC and contracts.
- Mentorship: we have a network of 30/40 mentors coming every week to meet with startups to help them on various areas: financing, business development, management, strategy, marketing…etc Our mentors are past entrepreneurs with successful exits, retailers (including Galeries Lafayette executive board members) and investors (VCs mainly).
- Events: we organize with our partners events about many subjects such as retail industry, AI, management, digital transformation or pitch competition for our startups.
- Ecosystem: we are trying to build a network around the commerce, the retail and the fashion tech. It’s a real added-value to be in our office at Lafayette Plug and Play to exchange with other startups, meet with the guests or visiting corporates.
In a nutshell, we are matchmakers, Lafayette Plug and Play is where startups meet experts, mentors, corporations, and investors.
So on Monday we welcomed the 14 startups with Philippe Houzé (Executive Chairman of Galeries Lafayette Group) and Saeed Amidi (CEO & Founder of Plug and Play Tech Center):
All week long, the startups had the chance to meet with Zalando, FDJ, BPCE, Deloitte, Galeries Lafayette Executive Board, Up Group, Castorama…etc…
And this is only the beginning of the journey for our 14 startups at Lafayette Plug and Play, because the program is 12 weeks long!
