Land Placement and Adjacency Bonuses

As mentioned in the last post, players will be able to gain bonuses by placing compatible plots of land next to each other. (Up to 9 land plots in a single wallet can be combined into a 3x3 Grid to gain Adjacency Bonuses.) These bonuses will speed up the time required for actions such as harvesting berries, crafting materials, and more! Maximing this is crucial in order to maximize the growth and development of your land’s production.

1. Adjacent and compatible land will receive Adjacency Bonuses

Are they adjacent? And are they compatible? Boom! Bonuses for both.

2. Rules of Compatibility

In order for two lands to be compatible, at least one of the following must be true:

• One of the lands is Mythic. Mythic lands are compatible with all lands.
• One of the lands is Rare, and the other land is of the same Class Group. (For instance, a Rare Light land is compatible with a Common Cloud land, because the Cloud Class is a member of the Light Class Group.)
• Both of the lands are Common, and have the same Class (Cloud and Cloud, for example.)

3. Maximizing your Bonuses

The best part of these Bonuses is that they stack. If a land is surrounded by 4 compatible lands, it will receive a 20% bonus!

4. Mixing and Maxing

In order to maximize the Adjacency Bonus for as many plots of land as possible, you will want to carefully consider how they should be arranged.

In the graphic below, we can see how to calculate the Adjacency Bonuses in a cluster of 4 land plots as an example.

5. So Many Combinations to Try!

As you combine more plots of land together, the difficulty of maximizing the Adjacency Bonus for each plot of land increases! Rare and Mythic lands make it much easier to get these bonuses, because of their increased compatibility.

Another consideration to remember is the compatibility of your Land with your Unicorns, if any. The combinations of Unicorns and Land will be different for each player, and we are excited to see what kinds of strategies people discover!
