What I learned not drinking for two years

Great article and valuable for people to read. I also quit drinking, 1 & 1/2 years ago. I did have two very short relapses, which I think is expected. I didn’t do the AA thing, just on my own. I’m 52 and after 30 years or so of drinking it became a health issue. Liver enzymes climb as you get older and continue to drink. I would encourage you and other people to get blood work done. If your liver wears out you die. And what you said about making bad decisions is soo true. Every thing you do is filtered though alcohol and mostly bad decisions are made. Even when your not drinking, like when you’re at work, it’s still in your system and still effects your decisions. I say bravo to your article and I hope lots of people read it. Good luck in 2016, wish you much success.
