This is the scenario where every parent wants their child to study to make his or her future superior, however it is noticeable that in an unprivileged society, few children who are below 15 years of age are working in a chemical factory, or like labour in a construction project. They are not given the necessary education, not a better place to learn, to play, to make their childhood desirable. And On the other hand, we have seen how people still discriminate a girl with a boy. This is 21st century but our country is still developing in this field. There are many people who are just letting down the women of our society. Female pesticides, dowry system, domestic violence, discrimination and many more. Besides that, women keep on proving herself to the world and become an inspiration to other women like our Honorable Kiran Bedi, the first women who joined the Indian Police as an officer, Kalpana Chawla was the first women of Indian origin in space, Indra Gandhi, the first women Prime Minister in India, and so on.

For mainly this purpose, NGOs are established and help our country to develop. NGOs are the Non-Government Organisations which are formed to give free welfare to the society, they are the supporting aspects to the community. This not-for-profit idea is the prime agenda of these institutions with which they become functional for the society and its people, there are approximately 3.3 million NGOs existing today in India with having significant objectives of community development, community welfare, relief, disaster management and rehabilitation. And basically, NGOs fill up the communication gap between the people and the Government. It plays an important role in mediating between people and the wide political party, internetworking information and policy reform.

NGOs can work for the women and child development by initiating the awareness through many programmes like Lakshyam- a Non-Government organisation which conducted an event named ‘ROOH- AWAKENING WOMEN’S SOUL’ in which they created a three tier project with the motive of providing the basic needy education to the children as now a days education plays a vital role in an individual’s living, to give them the exposure to the society with the professional training to get skilled, and the last one is sending the girls to the famous platform to exhibit and market their skills to increase the women’s self-employment to the country besides that Lakshyam gives the health facility to women with the purpose of spreading awareness about the importance of iodine and salt to the women’s body to decrease the breast cancer because according to the research the most common cancer in India is the Breast cancer which is apparently not decreasing. Lakshyam Organisation is trying their best to improvise the livelihood of the necessitous places as it has been scattered to many branches of our country. Just like Lakshyam we have many NGOs who are giving their best to make our country best. Visit here Lakshyam NGO: http://www.lakshyam.co.in
