ATTENTION! Do not leave your Longings unattended đź‘€

Inspired by this quote in Austin Kleons book “steal like an artist “

How many times have you been somewhere and you’ve seen the sign “do not leave your belongings unattended “?

Perhaps too many to count. Usually we see this in public places and one reason you are asked not to do this is, is because your stuff will be removed and destroyed for fear of the safety of others.

However have you pondered about what belongs to you in terms of your dreams and aspirations?

Do you think that if you give up on what is “longing” within you, you won’t destroy yourself and hence your dreams to truly live?

Are you BE-longing to someone else’s lives and dreams at the cost of your true “longing” for what will make you truly BELONG to yourself and stay true to yourself and your HEART?

I know it can seem scary to truly live just like when we were first born and brought into this world — a world that ripped us out of the comfort of our mother’s womb where everything was provided. (The real comfort zone)

BUT I believe you owe it to yourself to be yourself so I encourage you to start…

💡Don’t ignore those daydreams where you escape to something that makes you smile

💡Don’t ignore those childhood dreams

💡Don’t entrap yourself in false thoughts that limit your ability as a human being (everyone is capable)

I’m not asking you to quit your life now but at least start the journey… (put your shoes on)

đź”…You can spend a few minutes a day reflecting on what you love

đź”…You can spend a few minutes visiting those dreams and hobbies you had as a child

🔅You can spend a few minutes thinking about what you’d like to change in the world

🔆You can spend a few hours in the weekend re-enacting that hobby (painting, baking, music, etc)

🔆You can spend a few hours a week researching alternative ways to tackle issues that you’d like to change

But most importantly off all, don’t ignore those longings — don’t let your longings be destroyed .

Belong to yourself and your quest to truly live.

I’m longing for your thoughts so don’t be shy in sharing them.
