What it’s like to have cancer
Parker Dempsey

Thank you Parker for writing this piece. Your words allowed me to lift the veil a little and glimpse the world my oldest, dearest friend walks, every single day. She’s very precious to me, but I have found it hard to ‘really’ realise what she is going through.

I ‘sort of' understood it logically speaking, but the unceasing emotional aspect has been something I have not truly understood. At a visceral level I simply cannot ‘get it' because of my own life’s good fortune — my world is not coloured or ruled by this bitch cancer.

As I do for her, I wish you health, happiness and 'life' in the most positive and fulfilling manner possible. Thank you again.
