Lampix (PIX) Issues Company Update

We are excited to share our first official update for 2018.

The first month of the year was both eventful and productive for Lampix. We have added a number of resources company-wide in preparation for what we believe will be a remarkable and unprecedented year for the Lampix brand. As you will read in the notes below, Lampix is planning the execution of several strategic objectives, including the highly-anticipated Kickstarter campaign, which will launch in March. Our team believes that we are well-positioned for significant events to not only come to fruition but also succeed. We hope to carry this momentum throughout the remainder of 2018 and beyond.

Tech

• Hired 2 Machine Learning Developers for the lampix software stack.

• Hired 1 Backend and 2 Frontend Dev for the PIX Ecosystem and for creating Lampix apps

• Work on 3 POC projects goes on in parallel to the core Lampix software stack.

• Progress on the architecture of the new smart contract for trading ML-Data on the PIX Ecosystem.

• PIX Ecosystem Frontend alpha version ready for being featured in our PIX — Ecosystem presentation video

• Further work on Lampix.js, the API allowing 3rd party developers to develop new lampix Apps. Feedback regarding the API coming in from POC customers is very positive.

• First working version of our microservices architecture containing the PIX Ecosystem API, Database, File storage, and dataset quality assessment services.

• Lampix software stack stabilization led to a series of successful customer demos in January, stay tuned for the corresponding press releases after we sign these customers.

• Working to finalize the applications to be included on the Kickstarter edition of the Lampix device. Development is on schedule.

• Preparing our Lampix Demo Apps for Barcelona MWC and SXSW, which we are very excited about.

HR/Operations

• Gordon Meyer has joined the Lampix team as Vice President of Marketing. More details in marketing section of this update.

• Dzmitry Varhan officially joined the Lampix team as Head of Hardware in NYC.

• Lampix is currently recruiting team members for sales, frontend, backend, and web/AR application development.

• Dedicated human resources staff has been hired for our tech office in Brasov, Romania.

Sales

• Lampix currently has a number of prospective clients at various stages in the business development funnel. We will issue more specific information when we are able to do so.

Hardware

• Updated prototype, which has a more optimized shape and component layout, is complete. This version of the device will be used for the next series of pilot client deliveries, events, and demos.

• Supplier list, along with lead times, quotes, etc. for pilot production plan about 70% complete.

• Samples of potential components to be used in the pilot production coming in over the next couple of weeks.

• Additional electrical engineering and mechanical engineering interns have been hired.

• Design and component sourcing underway for next prototypes that will be closer and closer to production version.

• We have been accepted into the Hardware Studio Connection program, a collaboration between Kickstarter, Dragon Innovation, and Avnet. This program is geared “toward teams that are looking to launch a hardware product through a Kickstarter campaign.” Some perks include expert advice, access to services, and elevated visibility on Kickstarter, Hackster.io, and Element14.

Marketing

• We are very pleased to announce the addition of Gordon Meyer as Vice President of Marketing. Gordon previously headed up marketing for YouVisit, an immersive technology and services company with over 75 employees in NYC working with clients across education, travel, brand marketing, and digital agency verticals. Prior to joining YouVisit, Gordon initiated digital marketing strategies for Sirius Satellite Radio for 11 years, helping the company move from a risky disruptive entertainment company to established dominance with over 30 million subscribers. Before taking satellite radio mainstream into the public arena, Gordon was an early pioneer in digital advertising and website creation at Razorfish serving Fortune 100 clients as they formulated their strategy in the 1990s. Gordon honed his marketing skills in the leadership program at J. Walter Thompson advertising, working alongside some of the best and brightest in traditional marketing consulting for Warner-Lambert, Kelloggs, Unilever, and Merck pharmaceuticals. Gordon has been featured on NPR’s All Tech Considered, as well as publications such as Forbes, INC Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Skift, and Brandchannel among others. In 2015, Gordon was named one of the “Top 40 under 40 Brand Marketers” any Brand Innovators, a premier marketing industry think tank. Gordon currently sits on the Board of Advisors for BWG Strategy, an invite-only network for senior executives across technology, media, and telecom. Additionally, Gordon sits on the Board of Directors for a local Brooklyn soup kitchen and homeless shelter. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters.

• Lampix will be attending Mobile World Congress on February 26-March 1 in Barcelona.

• Lead generation efforts have commenced with particular focus on our Kickstarter campaign.

• With regard to the Lampix (PIX) Bounty Program, we are pleased to report more than 3,000 visits to Lampix.com as a result of participants sharing articles. We have reassessed our current program and will be re-launching the program along with a completely overhauled website before Q2 2018. For now, we have decided that PIX distribution will occur when participants have accrued enough credits to redeem 10 PIX tokens. Moving forward, our newly revamped Bounty Program will include a degree of exclusivity which was not previously in place. More details will be provided in the next month.
