We all knew that there was no going back to a starting QB position for Tony Romo in Dallas. Sensational rookie Dak Prescott made it impossible for anyone to consider Romo for that position. Due to his quality and high salary, it was also not an option for him to be a backup for Prescott. The possibilities that remained were for Romo to be released or to be traded. Possible partners for this one were few to none, but Jerry Jones decided not to release him because he was of the opinion that Tony is a franchise QB capable of bringing Super Bowl to whatever team he plays. In the end, Jones decided to let Romo talk to other clubs but the final decision was Romo’s, and he decided to call it a day.
