(Warning : Contains Spoilers for Tokyo Revengers Season 2)

RECAP :

Season 2 - Episode 7 of Tokyo Revengers takes off right where Episode 6 left off with Taiju proclaiming he has no choice but to kill his little sister, Yuzuha, after she attempted to kill him.

Takemichi questions Taiju as to why a family feud has to end up with them killing each other, to which Yuzuha states that this is the path the siblings chose & that she will protect her little brother Hakkai.
As she picks up the dagger and attempts to stab Taiju again, Mitsuya stops her. She then faints and is taken care of by Takemichi on Mitsuya’s request.

Mitsuya then proceeds to fight Taiju in the siblings place. Chifuyu appears & informs Takemichi that Mitsuya helped him escape and that he was the one who called him for help, just in case Kisaki backstabs them (which he gladly did).

Hakkai keeps telling Mitsuya to back down as he is being overpowered by Taiju who is clearly much bigger, stronger and older than he is. To which Chifuyu replies that Mitsuya is being stubborn for Hakkai's sake.

Mitsuya suddenly gets hit by a suprise attack behind the head with a pole swung by Inui. With Mitsuya temporarily out of action, he entrusts fighting Taiju to Takemichi as he’s in the best shape out of the lot of them. Takemichi is hopeful that Mikey will come but Mitsuya tells him he came alone and that no one called Mikey or the rest of Toman for back up as this was a personal issue.

As Takemichi panics, Mitsuya tells him that he’s not putting all the pressure on him & that he wants him & chifuyu to handle Kokonoi & Inui while him & Hakkai take on Taiju.

Takemichi holds back Kokonoi while Chifuyu gets beat by Inui. Meanwhile, Taiju is enraged to see Hakkai attempting to stand up to him but Mitsuya encourages him & tells him that he’s stronger than Taiju is. Mitsuya then charges towards Taiju only to realize that Hakkai is paralyzed with fear & can’t move. Taiju laughs and knocks Mitsuya down with a single punch.

Hakkai then grabs the dagger lying on the ground and gathers enough courage to try and stab Taiju but is stopped midway by Takemichi who tells him that this is not the right way to fight back.

Takemichi then proceeds to take on Taiju to save Yuzuha & Hakkai from the dark future he saw as he realises that saving Yuzuha is the key to changing the timeline. While Taiju is mad at seeing Takemichi not giving up while knowing he’s much weaker than himself, Takemichi states it’s his only redeeming quality.

Takemichi continues to receive a beat down from Taiju with Hakkai continuously telling him to stop as he’ll be killed and Chifuyu telling him he’s done enough. However, despite Takemichi being completely bloody and bruised, he continues to stand his ground.
The episode ends with a barely standing Takemichi declaring he will take over the Black Dragons.

REVIEW :

While it’s a bit disappointing to see Yuzuha taken out at the start of the episode, hopefully we may get to see more of her in the episodes to come.
It’s clear that Hakkai is petrified of his brother as a result of all the familial abuse and trauma he’s received that not even Mitsuya, who he sees as an older brother, could help pull him out of it.
However, it would be nice to see him muster up enough courage to finally stand up to Taiju after seeing Takemichi fight so hard on their behalf.
