sharp cracks under the ice

a running stream

footsteps walking on the ice

deep sounds from the turbines

a wet sloshing

an engine receding

a rough scratching sound

deep subsonic rumbles

the indistinguishable speaking

the rhythmic sound of the turbines

a stream of flowing water

a clean and cold sound

silence

a low hum

a quiet breeze

some distant traffic
