Today

Day 22

Today was a good day. It really was. I had breakfast with Brandon; an awesome Christian Legal Society meeting at lunch; listened to multiple chapters of Crazy Love, which I am really enjoying; learned a lot in my study; and had numerous conversations about Christianity and Christ.

Sometimes, because of the depth of the Experiencing God God study, I feel like I miss the forest through the trees. I feel like if I do not have the Holy Spirit knock me over with the peace that passes understanding, then I am somehow doing something wrong. I feel like I am searching so hard for God that I miss him.

Today, as I reflect on my day, I refuse to miss him.

I am reminded of the quote from Day #2 of the study:

One of the greatest tragedies among God’s people is that, although they deeply long to experience God, they are encountering Him day after day but do not recognize him.

For better or for better, God was a large part of my day today. Did He ‘speak’ to me. I don’t know, I guess I would say no.

But I can feel that God is more a part of my life now than He has been in the past. God is moving off of these pages and infecting me in a way that He wasn’t last month.

It hasn’t been easy, but it has been good.

I feel like day after day I get on here and share my struggle. I share the wrestleing match that I am having with my human nature. That is good. I think that struggle and transparency are good.

But I also think that it is important that I slow down and reflect on what God is doing around me. Today, I saw God in the world. I will go to bed happy with that.

Today was a good day.
