Linkedin Authentication using Laravel 5.3

In my previous articles I explains Authentication with Google and Authentication with Facebook. This article focused on linkedin authentication using laravel socialite package. Just do the following steps in your laravel project.

step 1 : Install Socialite Package

composer require laravel/socialite

step 2 : set the configurations

add providers and aliases in config file i.e., config/app.php

'providers' => [ .... Laravel\Socialite\SocialiteServiceProvider::class, ], 'aliases' => [ .... 'Socialite' => Laravel\Socialite\Facades\Socialite::class, ],

step 3 : Create Linkedin App

step 4 : set app id, secret and call back url in config file

i.e., config/services.php

'linkedin' => [ 'client_id' => '*****', 'client_secret' => '*****', 'redirect' => 'http://localhost/laravel_social/linkedin/callback' ],

step 5: Config routing (app/Http/routes.php)
