Beginning

excerpt from Everything Hurts

I write to you, and it’s as if I’ve never written a word before. Its as if these words I’ve selected (each and every one) were crafted for you. See my life reset and you were the first man I ever saw.

My first kiss, my first love. I did not know you were the man hidden in the shadows, in the fog of my dreams. And then we met. You are the other half of all those love stories I have consumed. You are the dream, the destiny, my future that the world is trying to keep me from, from you, from us.

See there is something in you. There is something between is that both simple and great. I will fight for that something, I must fight for it. Because in 29 years and if 29 more were to pass there would still only be you.

A once in a lifetime occurrence, an eclipse. Sweetheart you cover me completely, you are my shield, sent to cover me from the pain, from the unbearable, you cover me from the rain.
