On Friday, Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor released a statement to ET Online announcing they are splitting up after 17 years of marriage.

They wrote:
“With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate… Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”
The couple — who met on the set of Heat Vision and Jack — married in 2000 and have two children: daughter Ella Olivia and son Quinlin Dempsey.
The 51-year-old actor and the 45-year-old actress were frequent collaborators, and co-starred in films such as Zoolander, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Tropic Thunder, Arrested Development, and Zoolander 2.
Such a sad situation…
