Encouraging, but…
I’m struggling to build a base of readers (I know, write good stuff consistently, and be patient).
I seem to have more success (recommends, responses) then I respond to a very active thread than just starting a “New Story.”
I’d like to launch a BIG discussion based on foundational issues.
Point 1: we will all die (sooner than you may may think)
Point 2: let’s focus on important things (most topics don’t fit this criteria)
Example of my stuff:
Can we put aside factual issues (skin color, gender, economics) and address methods to improve matters?
We must be willing to engage.
It’s useless to expect someone else to pick up the tab.
Example: “We should fix poverty!”
Meaning: “The government should do something!”
Results: New laws, new taxes, impacts to businesses, loss of jobs, higher prices, etc.
Option: Love your neighbor (lend a helping hand)
Advice: Maybe there’s a situation, in which a person is struggling to pay their rent in San Francisco, should be given this advice: “you need to move to another part of the country! Once you have a plan, and saved a little money, a few of us will collect a little more and launch you on your way.”
Courage is a better fuel than fear.
