No Disposable Income

I have this general sense about my life too (I’m approaching 60).

But, if I take an honest look, too many times I’ve spent money on things that did not bring wealth. I could have done better with the pennies and dollars.

If I’d been more diligent, I would have been better poised to take advantage of opportunities (investments) that could have grown into something.

I’m not complaining that our parents, teachers, and the plethora of influences did not stress financial planning, discipline, insight, and COURAGE to prepare a young person for this life.

I try to encourage young people in this way. The immediate feedback I infer from their verbal responses, facial expressions, and body language is: ‘I don’t really care.’

Maybe young people are still enamored with social security Ponzi scheme.

A version of the old aphorism: “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink” was first recorded in 1175.

Not Complaining — serendipitous things happen too!
