The preparation time for making a meal at home can take as little as five minutes. It’s as simple as makinga sandwich, which doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a lot better for you than indulgingin a greasy,unhealthy fast food meal. Eatingat home can also encourage families to “slow down” a little bit, and spends some quality time with each other. Although goingthrough a drive-thru on your way home might seem like the quicker and more convenient thingto do at the time, it can have a negative
long-lastingeffect on your health. Eatingfast food frequently can cause weight and cholesterol to fluctuate, lowering self-esteem and damaging the over all well-beingof every individual. If you are in a rush, there are always healthy alternatives to fast food. Subway offers low calorie, low fat sandwiches that are actually pretty appetizing. Ifyou’ve tried Subway before and haven’t been a bigfan, you could always go to your local grocery store and pick up a salad or frozen dinner. Iknow that frozen meals don’t always sound like the most appetizing alternative to eating fast food, but they are a healthier choice.
