The Drew McIntyre Dilemma — What’s Next for the Scottish Warrior?

If you’re a wrestling fan, the biggest talking point right now, is what the heck do we do with Drew McIntyre? It’s understandable that some fans are angry that he got screwed over at both Clash at the Castle 2024 and Clash at the Castle 2022. For now, if you are Drew McIntyre, never go to a wrestling castle as long as you live.

I actually enjoyed Clash at the Castle 2024. However, some fans took to social media to say they spent their money to see Drew McIntyre win the title in his home country. Now I understand the disappointment, if you have built something up in your brain and then you don’t get it, you have the right to feel a little disappointed.

However, when we attend wrestling events, we really don’t actually know what’s going to happen. We expect things to happen, but it’s a story, it’s predetermined. For example, if you watch a Conor McGregor fight in Ireland and he gets knocked out, it’s different because it’s a “real” fight. In WWE, Triple H can decide “Scottish fans would love a Drew McIntyre moment” but ultimately, it’s all part of the story.

It’s similar to Cody Rhodes winning at WrestleMania 40. I was super invested, and if he didn’t won, I would have been like, “Man that’s absolutely ridiculous.” But that’s an upside to what WWE did and I’m still interested and…
