Introducing Sidebar 2.0

I have enjoyed the Sidebar newsletters in my inbox for more than two years now. Sidebar has been my main source of curated design/CSS news. I am very grateful for what you have given me.

I’m sorry to say, but I think the new e-mail format will make it harder to digest your headlines. Here’s why:

  • As each item needs more vertical space, scrolling is necessary to get an overview
  • Finding/reading the headlines is harder now — they have to fight for attention with images, labels, icons etc
  • The thumbnails are distracting and sometimes irrelevant
  • The former, simplistic look was unique and part of your brand — now you look more like your competitors

On the other hand — the redesigned Sidebar website is just great!
