It’s 2021! What a world huh? This is my first blog, and have no idea how it will grow, if it even does! I am not a journalist or english major, so please pardon my lack of TEDx talk delivery! Being human has never been so hard! Can you argue that being human has never been so easy? What does it mean to be human? Is it our physiological make up or gender or race or mental state? Perhaps, is it’s much simpler than that! I would venture to say being human is just that: BE HUMAN. Ownership! You mess up, own it! Learn and be better. You get sick, heal! Rest up, see a doctor if need be and be better. Ruin a relationship, get a new one or make the one you are in better. The world has become an all-inclusive, segregating, Brady bunch harsh world! Oh yeah, I hit you with a quadruple oxymoron! Or is that just double, hell I don’t know, but thats my point! Why should it be of any consequence to me? For what it’s worth, it’s not! Social norms take a hold of us like a vise grip we tend to conform to in order to stay relevant! In today’s world it seems in order to find some genuine happiness we have to be on an island alone, and its lonely there. With social media and the internet making humans more connected than ever, we are the most disconnected to our human-ness! Sure I can stay up with my friends lives from high school or across the country, but how does knowing what is happening in their life benefit me? How genuine is that life. Are that that happy! Vacationing that much? Working out that hard? Cooking that fancy every damn night? FOMO is a real damn epidemic!

Ok! enough of that random ADD blah talk! My intentions with my posts are regarding the following (not and exhaustive list):

  1. Being a “tweener” of pre-internet and internet (social media) living (1976 baby over here)
  2. Dealing with toxic people
  3. Self actualizing
  4. How to break up properly and leave that relationship where it belongs (behind you)
  5. Overcoming bullies
  6. Living in a world that you struggle fitting into (ethnically)
  7. Discipline and tapping into it
  8. Relationships and how to respect and keep them
  9. How to raise your kids balancing discipline, behavior techniques and co parenting
  10. How to not be a crappy person — the art of winning people over

Leave a comment if you have an interest in any listed subjects! If you have any particular subjects you would like to discuss please leave a comment on that too.
