About Last Horde

Last Horde is a fantasy card game based on NFT technology that runs on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network. The team used to play Magic the gathering a long time ago so Last Horde is inspired by this classic game. We are now betting on the Play to earn concept, but to a greater extent our idea reflects the concept of Play And Earn, cause playing should be fun!

Last Horde is a real card game with strategy elements, which implies the creation of an involved community. Each player is in command of a horde, made up of 11 cards representing heroes, creatures and magical elements, whose goal is to win battles. To start a horde, the group of 11 cards needed to play a game, players must have at least 3 NFT cards in their wallet. The rest of the cards to complete the 11 cards that form the horde will be lent by the game randomly.

Inspiration

We created the Last Horde as a fun journey and an exciting way to earn real rewards. What games have we been inspired by? There is no example on the NFT game market that inspires us at the moment, but we really like the card game GWEET based on The Witcher. And, of course, the cult game Magic the gathering, which we ourselves played back in the day, is based on.

Gathering the Horde

Last Horde is a game where each player is in command of a horde, made up of 11 cards representing heroes, creatures and magical elements, whose goal is to win battles. To start a horde, the group of 11 cards needed to play a game, players must have at least 3 NFT cards in their wallet. The rest of the cards to complete the 11 cards that form the horde will be lent by the game randomly, these cards that the player will use are called mercenaries.

Using mercenaries

It is very likely that many players start playing with the minimum investment required, that is, with only 3 NFT cards, and as they win battles and learn the mechanics of the game, they will acquire new cards that offer versatility in their strategies. These players will be able to form a horde composed of their three cards and 8 mercenaries that they will receive randomly at the beginning of each battle.

But the use of mercenaries has some implications in the game such as:

• Mercenaries cannot be chosen. They are cards that the game awards randomly at the beginning of each battle and therefore make it impossible to have a defined game strategy.

• Mercenaries are common cards that in some cases will be easily surpassed by more powerful cards.

• When a player wins a battle using mercenaries, he will have to reduce his reward by 6% for each mercenary used.

Getting rewards with Oracle

Last Horde uses an oracle system to regulate rewards by making players receive more or less tokens for each victory depending on the price of the HOR token. With this system we seek to encourage access to the game and offer players an incentive by giving them greater security in their investment.
