Automation You Want

Waking up before noon is heaps easier to do if you go to sleep before 2am. Getting in the shower is easier if you’re not having to tear yourself away from the phone first. It’s easier to fix breakfast if you know what you’re fixing.

As much as we claim to hate things when they’re running on autopilot, we do a whole lot more when we’re on it. The less we have to think about “simple stuff”, the more we can focus on the things that matter.

The trick seems to be knowing which battles are the ones worth fighting.
