Have You watched the Movie Little Boy..?

Tubelight is all about The Salman Khan & He has played a role of a child.

  • The Tubelight Cast: Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Matin Rey Tangu, Zhu Zhu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Om Puri, Shah Rukh Khan
  • Tubelight Director: Kabir Khan
  • Ratings: 2/5

Story: Tubelight -A Salman Khan Movie is completely inspired by the Hollywood film Little Boy which has been directed by Alejandro Monteverde, This Story is told with a simplicity.

Movie Sets was in Jagatpur it’s a North-Indian town, and during the scene of Indo-China war, the Town locals are having little work to do except laughing at Laxman’s acts.

Banne Chacha (Om Puri) was an old Typical Indian who mentors him and always imparting Gandhian gyaan at him. Narayan (Mohd Zeeshan) has played a role of a local bully who slaps the hero around without any provocation, making the slaps hitting less and more irritating.

Things brighten up a bit more when the gorgeous Chinese Liling (Zhu Zhu) and her perky son Guo (Matin), who are playing Chinese immigrants, move to Jagatpur.

In Tubelight, the Kabir Khan adopts a Hollywood film Little Boy and goes back in the past for more than 60 years (Movie is set in the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war): Bharat joins the army, goes off to fight for the nation, and vanishes the army of Chinese.

People were getting Daily reports of casualties which create tensions in the sleepy Kumaon village where the film is set. A ‘Chinese’ looking mom-and-son (Zhu Zhu and Matin Rey Tangu) becomes the target of the villager’s aggression.

Of course, they both are Indian.

The Three Khans have done really better but because Sohail has a significant share of the screen as well as a co-producer credit, he could have said something very important about racism and discrimination against our north-eastern brothers, they are called with ‘chinkies’, and other humiliating names.

But Tubelight has lost this huge opportunity because they make it more child-like into childish nature, and simple into simplistic words like ‘susu’, ‘potty’ and ‘goo’ is used to make us laugh, which makes it very much boring.

Some part of the film’s more likable moments is only shared between Laxman and the little boy, who’s completely edible, and an absolute natural.

The role of supporting cast, which includes the late Om Puri a great actor, as a father-figure to both the brothers and Zeeshan Ayyub has played a local hothead, among others, is solid and much more convincing.

Sohail reprises again his caring ‘bhai’ role: we’ve also seen him as Salman’s younger brother many time’s before.

But when the scene isn’t convincing, this Salman Khan Movie becomes just like the title: too much flicker, too little shine.

The one word that’s used about in every other line of the film is ‘yakeen’ Trust: Ironically, that’s the one thing we don’t in this Salman Khan Movie. Believe, is a word that is.

Despite its fluffiness, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a sharp skewering of communal differences, and a strong call for cross-border ‘bhaichara’ between two countries but Tubelight aims for the same mix but falls flat.

We wish to give Tubelight — A Salman Khan Movie a positive Review because of his stardom this kind of movie is not expected from him…!!

We Are giving him just 2 Stars out of 5.

You can decide it by yourself after watching its Trailer
