Never Say Never…

Just about a month ago I told a good friend, “I never get sick.” Then about two days later I got sick and have basically been sick since then. I’ve had about week of feeling good, but had to make another trip to the doctor, again, today. This time it’s my ear. This is what the diagnosis was today:

I have a really bad ear infection. My right ear is almost completely swollen shut. I can’t hear out of it needless to say. I got 2 shots (one antibiotic and one steroid) ear drops, more antibiotic pills (to take in addition to the ones I already have), and a steroid pill…but the meds won’t be ready until tomorrow, thus the reason for the shots.

I have to go back for a follow up on Friday. The doctor said if it’s not significantly better by then they will put me in the hospital to give me antibiotics via IV.

I would not normally write about my health conditions, but it is so terribly painful, I honestly could not think well enough to write about anything else today.

I will not ever say I never get sick again. :(
