Buy All Your Furniture at Target, For Tomorrow We Die

What a cynical and bleak article. This brand of throw-it-away / live-for-today consumerism is everything that advertisers want, and has 0 to do with sustainability. The furniture your mother has was ostensibly Built to Last, and you‘re ’throw it away because you’re cool with particle board. Why wash dishes when we can throw away plastic cutlery?

And the sad thing is you’ve been convinced that this mindset is noble!

“ Being okay with owning cheap furniture means you do not have the exquisitely refined tastes and sensibilities that advertisers want to convince you that you have so that they can sell you things.” TARGET IS SELLING YOU THINGS! And they’re not even good things! They’re cheap disposable trash.

Don’t feel smug. You’ve been had.
