I think a LOT of people struggle with this, especially women, who are socialized to be the caregivers of everyone except themselves. My only advice is to be gentle and compassionate with yourself as you begin this process of regular self-care. If you find it difficult and need more structure, I highly recommend dialectical behavioral therapy. I plan to write about it more, but a quick google search will help you find good results.
