Over the next 30 years we are heading for a predicted singularity, between humanity and machine. This is when artificial intelligence is going to be at least as intelligent as we are. This will be increasingly achieved through a ‘Digital Layer’ where technology works seamlessly adjacent and alongside us as we live our lives.

This approaching parity of intelligence is comparing cognitive nervous system and brain based functioning. Richard Lovelock, in an interview with Radio 4, pointed out neurones are slow carriers of information, so, in processing terms, this achievement is not so huge.

The call of those embracing this change and inviting us to adjust to the ‘digital layer’ are inviting us to see the opportunity for us to utilise this development to live an enlightened life, where we can really support the life in ourselves and on our planet.

Meanwhile life itself has its own ancient and sophisticated ‘Biodynamic Layer’ — ordered water, electromagnetically charged — creating, supporting and enhancing life. It can begin to account for spooky action at a distance phenomena through quantum entanglement, and the possibility of Bose Einstein Condensate in tiny packets at normal temperatures; it operates coherently locally, at scale and could form a connected worldwide web, dating back to the origins of life. The basis for the totality of life on earth…
