Eight weeks ago I completely stepped out of my comfort zone and took one of the biggest leaps of faith in my life. My heart raced and the adrenaline surged through out my body, as I joined a group of perfect strangers to create a global podcast through the Broadcast Yourself course at London Real Academy. I had seen Brian Rose host numerous guests on his YouTube channel, London Real, and I was definitely intrigued at the potential to create and deliver valuable content, connect with others, and make a positive impact in the world.

The content and modules were fast paced and intensive. The obstacles and fears were faced head on. Stop letting your fears get in the way of your goals. Remember your mission and your values. The emotions and intensity of this course were challenging, forcing our insecurities to the surface, while facing our fears yet we were all experiencing these uncomfortable emotions simultaneously. Twice weekly group calls, divided into segments with Brian and led by our small group mentors and coaches — Christina Castaneda, Kia Baker, Joel Ingram, and Francisco Rua. Question and Answer sessions, personally addressing individual issues as requested. The Great Accountability Document and a healthy dose of competition among small groups to complete assignments and modules. Video blogs and Facebook check-ins. Episode topics and titles, guest pitches, triangulation, technology assistance, offering constant feedback and support of one another. Technology got you confused? Good. Stressed out with course requirements and family obligations to juggle? Good. Digging deep within the depths of your soul to face your fears and vulnerabilities? Good. Anything standing in the way of your goal, your assignment, that is Resistance…and we say, Good. See how often it would creep into your bucket of excuses. We pushed through Resistance and moved forward. “Good” they’d say, “Publish, Publish, Publish” and “Do it, Move on, and Don’t.Look.Back.”

Global friendships solidly formed through mutual respect and shared common goals— Connecting people, adding value, and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Each on our own path, fully supporting one another, and cheering our successes. Eight weeks ago, we were different people. You see, when you are a part of something truly special, far-reaching, and world changing, your life is forever changed.

Thank you to everyone at London Real Academy, especially Brian Rose and the team; Thank you to our amazing mentors and coaches — Christina Castaneda, Kia Baker, Joel Ingram, and Francisco Rua — For believing in and pushing us to dig deeper and get comfortable being uncomfortable; And a super huge Thank You to my fellow Broadcast Yourself, London Real (BY-LR) Classmates for being on this journey together, Sharing your stories, wisdom, (tech knowledge) and for the love, support, and respect you have bestowed upon me — My faith in humanity has been restored…. xoxo
