INTENSION

4–5–17

The words you speak they touch me deep in unintended places.

Faces misplaced and feelings erased then drawn in permanent strokes.

They amuse me

then confuse me

then abuse me

Seeing isn’t believing when my eyes are always closed

Beyond my lids I see fuzzy images of a stranger

He amuses me

then confuses me

then abuses me

Emotion burns my belly creeps up in my throat seeps out my lips

I haven’t the time to think before I vocalize

I amuse me

Then confuse me

Then abuse me

Pushing away the words you speak

Twisting the logic until you are one in the same
