This could be a selling point for sustainability minded people! For example, my dad refuses to drink imported beer because of carbon emissions produced by shipping. We were eating at an Indian restaurant and he explained to the waiter why he didn’t want to order a Kingfisher. He was delighted when the waiter told him that Kingfisher sold in the US is brewed in upstate New York only a couple hours drive from the restaurant we were in.
