The last time I got rid of old clothing I put all the non-reusable stuff (ratty t-shirts, holey tights & socks, gross old shoes on par with the ones pictured above) in a trash bag in our dumpster. The next morning someone had opened the bag and laid all of it out on top of and next to the dumpster, like a display. They didn’t take any of it, but they laid it out like someone else might want to. I felt weirdly violated.
