Yeah the tiny home thing always struck me as weird. There are lots of studio apartments available, and you just give 30 days notice and move on when you don’t want to live there anymore. Plus it’s more efficient and sustainable to stack “tiny homes” into an apartment building than on their own tiny plots of land. Ownership of a single family house is so ingrained in the American Dream that people still want it even if it’s not what they actually want. Pioneers and little houses on the prairie and whatnot. And avoiding the stigma we’ve unnecessarily attached to apartment dwelling in much of the US outside of a couple of large cities.
