I ADORE Skylar as a character, and am honestly shocked at myself for not having included her in my list. I think she’s a great foil to Walter, and deeply complex in her own way. I think the third season, where the show really shifts to her knowledge and view of the whole situation, is just brilliant. Anna Gunn was a powerhouse.
You know what’s interesting? Female writers never seem to have the reverse of this problem. It’s almost like we’re expected to understand how men view the world, well men feel they have to go out of their way to understand how women think. Funny, huh?
