Due Process is still required

Regardless of how traumatic it may be for the alleged victim, due process is still necessary for each and every case. Calling someone out on social media without due proof is defamatory and wrong. Both sides have rights, and the rights of the accused are every bit as important as the rights of the accuser. The justice system may be imperfect, but it’s the best we have. Innocent until proven guilty is the presumption of justice here. Victim trauma does not override the rights of the accused to due process. No one has an inherent right to a trauma free life. In fact, no one is completely trauma-free. Everyone, however, has the right to impartial, fair justice and due process.
