Hey U of Chicago: I’m an academic & survivor. I use trigger warnings in my classes. Here’s why.
E Price

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and taking a firm stance on trigger warnings. I am a UChicago student and I was appalled by this letter. I am also the president of our school’s chapter of Active Minds, an organization promoting mental health awareness. Sticking up for those with mental illness and disabilities has always been our mission. Someone on our board is composing a letter to you right now because we would love to talk to you more. We are trying to organize some sort of campaign or event that will cause pushback against the administration’s stance. Here is our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/uchicagoactiveminds/?fref=ts
Thank you again, for publicly showing your support and for providing a strong case for trigger warnings.
