Why I Weigh Myself Every Morning

Photo by i yunmai on Unsplash

Every morning I stand up, walk to my bathroom, and pull a small white scale out from under the sink.

Left foot on, right foot on. Wait for it to calibrate. Squint at my feet, because I haven’t put my contacts in yet. Note the number.

Step off, record the number in my app. done. Drink at least 16oz of water from the water bottle on my nightstand. Get on with my day.
