On the Ground

Chris — I’m guilty of using something similar; in the museum context I often am “out on the floor” with visitors. I’ve always thought it made evaluators more of a metaphorical bridge between the back-of-house planners and the public they serve, but could also see it builds up the separation instead. Thankfully, many back-of-house staff spend a good portion of their week “out on the floor” too!
