“Where?” should not be the focal point. It’s the “How am I going to get there?” and the “Who needs to be with me?” questions that matter. When we obsess over our destination, it’s tragically easy to hurriedly and aggressively push our way through the journey. We overlook its beauty, abandon contentment, ignore or betray those who fight for us, and lose ourselves in the midst. And then all our pivotal, deep-breath moments—with all their colors and passions and people—simply blur into the passage of time.
