Day Four/Five — Trumpland

Trump signed executive orders that will allow the Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipeline projects to move forward — This is after months of protests by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and others where protestors were shot with rubber bullets, among other horrors

Trump issues media blackout to federal agencies, including the EPA, presumably to cover up the science behind climate change — In response, there is now a Scientists’ March on D.C. planned. The Badlands National Park Service also went rogue.

In response to public outcry, as of this morning, the USDA has lifted its gag order!

A 6-week abortion ban was introduced into Congress (HR 7) — New York, however, announced that it was expanding access to free abortion and contraception

The Democrats, who are the last line of defense against Trump, are voting yes on Trump cabinet nominees — Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) was the only Democratic senator to vote no on all Trump’s cabinet nominations, at least until yesterday, when she voted yes on Nikki Haley. Call your senators and tell them to vote NO on ALL Trump cabinet nominees.

Stay strong, y’all. Public outcry can make a difference!
