emotionless© is a step bigger than a fashion brand. it’s a gang, guided and inspired by the rebellious golden years of rock’ n ‘roll. they are here to make the gap between this eclectic period with today’s society by showcasing products that represent it.

At its core, the mission of emotionless© has always been to inspire, converse and celebrate the things that make us — anyone and everyone who wants to be part of this gang — feel nostalgic about the rebellious golden years of rock’n’roll . It’s meant to be provocative, sexy, rebel, rough and authentic. That’s a big part of what they believe makes emotionless connect with their gang members.

“We are a young movement that embraces the now in our own way. We are the one they call dreamers but we are the ones who never sleep”.

Romain Warnotte and Jacques Ben Hadj Ali started emotionless© as a way to spend our time outside of work, without any idea that it would turn into something real. To their huge surprise, it took off over these past few months — because of all of their gang members. “We’re so grateful to all of you for making it everything it is today”.

What is emotionless?

Romain: It’s more than a fashion brand. We define ourselves as a gang being the reflection of a disillusioned youth that no longer believes in love. It is also an homage to women who dare to be sexy and to those who inspire us.

We are based in Belgium and have been active since 2017. We have been developing a strong identity through (mostly) embroidered t-shirts, but also handmade custom pieces based on upcycled/vintage garments. We also make tattoos, parties, and weird stuff i’m not sure you want to hear about (kidding).

What is your main inspiration?

Jacques: Putting out a fashion brand these days is quite hard, you probably know what I’m talking about. That’s why we thought twice about the way we produce and what we are doing. We dived deep into our mind to come with a strong identity.

I think our biggest inspiration comes from the golden years of rock’n’roll. The essence of emotionless© is an homage to 70’s in california. The mood is: velvet, classic cars, rock stars, motorcycle gang. It’s an homage to the women who dare to be sexy and to those who inspire us.

Its seems you guys pay a special attention to sustainable fashion… Could you tell us more about it?

Romain: Since emotionless produces new garments, we have a responsibility to understand and offset the scope of the environmental impact. From the beginning, it’s been a focus of us to protect the planet the we all call home. The cotton we use is 100% organic. Our production is achieved and shipped from Belgium. We’ll continue to focus on offsetting the overall impact and helping raise awareness for environmental issues.

Jacques: We also take vintage pieces and custom them, which means, there is only one piece made each time. We have listened to our customers (good boy) and realized the importance of our position in the fashion world right now. We wanted to go for a healthier future. So we launched the one of one service. We are using vintage pieces and going for unique custom. We aim at better addressing the ever-greater quest of identity and singularity of each gang’s member while ensuring the sustainability of our world in order to continue to further our vision into it.

How to join the gang?

Romain:

1. buy one of our items
2. post a picture on your instagram
3. follow us and add “𝖌𝖆𝖓𝖌 𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗 @emotionlessgang “ in your bio
4. you’ll be reposted on our official instagram
5. you are now a motherfucking gang member

We heard you guys are also DJ’s. Is that true?

Romain: Yes it is! We’ve deejaying together since 10 years, all over the world: Australia, USA, Thailand, Spain, France, Belgium… It’s been a long trip!

Jacques: We also organize our own parties called emotion©. It is really important for us to connect with our gang members.

Is it true that you met Virgil Abloh and Tommy Cash?

Jacques: We went sneaky in the backstage once in a concert of Tommy Cash to meet the Estonian legend himself. We of course made a special t-shirt for him. Thanks again bruh!

Romain: We once flew to Milan (in the only idea) to try to connect with the fashion god VIRGIL ABLOH. We made a special t-shirt for him. We arrived at his office, asked to see him (of course we didn’t had a meeting). He wasn’t there so we left the package at the office. We made a video (no you’ll never see that video) and uploaded it on a USB that we left in the package explaining who we were and what we wanted. So far, we never received an answer. The legend says that we are still waiting…
