Reflection: 7 Powerful Questions to Ask Before Year End

You need to create time and space in your life to design the life that you really want because our path will be designed for us if we don’t design that path ourselves. Even worse, we may end up building a life for someone else.

You need to learn from the past in order to step out and into a more amazing life in the New Year.

Yeah, but how do I do this?

Allocate a few hours to yourself. Find a place where you feel comfortable and won’t be disturbed for a few hours. Play your favourite tunes and create the right vibe.

Can’t remember what you did this year? Prompt your memory by scrolling through your Instagram photos, your Facebook newsfeed or checking old calendar entries.

Here are some questions and ideas that you can begin to explore:

  1. What was my biggest mistake this year and what did I learn from it?
  2. Can I summarise my three key learnings and lessons this year?
  3. Can I identify my biggest opportunities this year?
  4. What key learnings or insights do I want to take with me into 2017?
  5. Is there anything that I want to leave behind?
  6. What was one thing I did this year that I’m really proud of?
  7. If I was to summarise my year in one sentence, how would I describe this year?

Next week we’ll be moving to the Planning and Strategy Phase of this powerful 3-stage process for designing your most epic New Year!
