Kris, what a beautiful and touching tribute to a beloved family member! I love that even during this most difficult of times, you thought to document your experience. Thank you for sharing it with others! I work for this wonderful company, Lap of Love. While many, upon hearing where I work, think it must be the most depressing work ever, I could not disagree more. It is because of people like you, Kris, and the AMAZING bond you and others have with their fur babies, that make my job one of the most rewarding jobs ever. I get to witness the depths of the human-animal bond every day. I, as do my co-workers, feel very honored and privileged to be able to assist families with making the worst day at least a little more bearable and to find comfort in being able to give their pets what I feel is the greatest, most unselfish gift ever — the gift of being able to say “no more pain” and to be able to do so in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by people and things they know and love.
