An intense tornado struck the town of Portage, Michigan, causing significant damage to a FedEx depot on Tuesday evening. The storm, a rare occurrence in the area, prompted a dramatic rescue operation as dozens of people found themselves trapped within the partially collapsed building.

Portage, situated eight miles south of Kalamazoo, bore the brunt of the tornado’s force, leaving officials to contend with a challenging rescue mission. Miraculously, all 50 individuals trapped inside the depot emerged with no severe injuries, a testament to the swift response of emergency teams.
