SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is the entrance test you will have to appear for if you aspire to study in one of the 15 B-Schools under Symbiosis. Those of you who score well on this test are shortlisted to participate in the next rounds. You must clear all rounds to secure a seat to study MBA from Symbiosis. This article will give you a general idea of the exam pattern that is followed by SNAP.
SNAP is a 2-hour long online test that consists of 150 question. The test will contain MCQ type questions of 1 mark each, which means the total marks of the entire test is 150. Furthermore, there is also a negative marking of 25% for every wrong answer.
This aptitude test for MBA also has four major sections like General Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, General English, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. Each of these sections is allocated a different number of marks and weightage on the test.
General English is allotted 40 marks with a 27% weightage on the test. There are three major types of questions you will be required to attempt — Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, and Verbal Reasoning. The topics you will need to study for are antonyms, sentence corrections, jumbled sentences, contextual usage and more.
Analytical and Logical Reasoning is allotted a total of 40 marks with a 27% weightage on the test as well. This section will consist of questions on topics such as mathematical, logical, and visual reasoning, graphs and charts, clocks and calendars, etc.
Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency are also allotted 40 marks and 27% weightage on the test. For this section, you must study topics like Permutation and Combination, Integers, Progressions, Trigonometry, Data Interpretation, and more.
The last section, General Awareness is allocated 30 marks and a 20% weightage on the test. This section will ask questions related to the current affairs of the last 2 years on subjects like economics, business, sports, awards, technology and more.
